Extras on Saturdays: Funnel Cakes, Roasted Corn, Fresh Lemonade

Fall Family Fun

Family fall fun begins at Tate Farms with hay rides in the fresh country air to the 90 acres of home grown pumpkins.  Everyone is always looking for our hay maze.   Bring your entire family for a day on the farm where actives abound for the young and old alike.  Children love the two  jumping pillows, farm animals and barnyard playground featuring a cotton picker spiral slide, a 15 foot tractor tire tower, two story slides down corrugated plastic tubes and a grain auger swing.  Corn cribs provide a swimming pool of corn kernels for kids of all ages to play in.  Enjoy picking out fall home decor in the Country Store and picking up fresh pumpkin pie (yes, Tate Farms pumpkins!) and pumpkin bread to take home and enjoy all week.  Try our original recipe pumpkin slushies, Dippin' Dots ice cream, cappuccino and hot chocolate also offered in our bakery.  The Barn Grill is open all day offering lunch and dinner - pork bbq sandwiches, salad trios and chicken fingers are just a few of the menu items.

"Pumpkin & Vine, Cafe and Collectibles" featuring Piper and Leaf artisan brewed teas with local ingredients and a kid friendly shop; pedal cart tractors on a track for kids and adults; an antiquated silo  - our new Corny Concessions area; extended petting animal area; and a few surprises!

Why Saturday is Extra Fun

Saturdays are popular at Tate Farms because special activities are added to the everyday fun!  You'll find face painting  and the pumpkin cannon (men can’t resist the lure of watching the pumpkin cannon shoot 3-5 pound pumpkins a quarter of mile across the field).   Additional specialty foods are offered like fresh squeezed lemonade, funnel cakes and cotton candy.
